Yoghurt Bars Recipes

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups thick plain yoghurt / Greek yoghurt
  • 3 –4 tablespoons honey or sugar adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla essence optional
  • 1 cup chopped fruits e.g strawberries mango, bananas, blueberries, or
  • any fruit you like)
  • ¼ cup nuts peanuts, almonds, cashews – optional
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips or grated chocolate optional

Equipment

  • freezer
  • a bowl
  • parchment paper
  • tray
  • baking dish

Method
 

  1. ● Pour the yoghurt in a bowl.
  2. ● Add honey (or sugar) and vanilla essence to the bowl.
  3. ● Mix well until a smooth mixture is obtained.
  4. ● Add preferred toppings
  5. ● Gently fold in the chopped fruits and nuts to your mixture.
  6. ● Line a flat tray or baking dish with parchment paper or clean plasticwrap.
  7. ● Pour the yoghurt mixture into the tray and spread evenly (about 1–2 cm thick).
  8. ● Sprinkle extra fruits, nuts, or chocolate on top.
  9. ● Freeze
  10. ● Place in the freezer for 4–6 hours or until fully firm.
  11. ● Cut and serve
  12. ● Remove from the freezer.
  13. ● Lift out and cut into bars or squares.
