Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup oats rolled or quick oats
  • 1 cup water or milk or half water, half milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar or honey
  • Optional toppings
  • Banana slices apple pieces, or berries
  • Nuts groundnuts, almonds
  • Peanut butter
  • Cinnamon

Equipment

  • a sufuria.
  • spoon

Method
 

  1. Put the oats, water or milk, and salt in a sufuria.
  2. Place on medium heat and bring it to a gentle boil.
  3. Stir occasionally to prevent it from sticking.
  4. Cook for 5–10 minutes until the oats are soft and thick.
  5. Add sugar or honey as preferred and then stir well.
  6. Remove from heat and add your preferred toppings
